Carol Fluegge McCreary, 64, a Pensacola resident, died May, 22, 2013, at Covenant Hospice, Pensacola, FL after a battle with cancer. Mrs. McCreary was born September 4, 1948, to Mary and Rudolph Fluegge. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State in 1970 with a B.A. in Spanish and from the University of Indiana in 1973 with a Masters in Library Sciences/Instructional Systems Technology. She married Andrew Jay McCreary, Jr. on August 2, 1980 in Pensacola, FL. She was the first librarian at the Pensacola Lucia M. Tryon Branch Library and retired as the head librarian. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church Parish. She was preceded in death by her father, Rudolph Fluegge. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Jay McCreary, Jr.; mother, Mary Fluegge; son, Aaron McCreary; son, Shane McCreary; daughter, Aurora McCreary; and brother, Steve Fluegge. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, a librarian, teacher, artist, and as person would truly would do anything for other while encouraging them to laugh daily. Memorial Service will be held 3:00pm Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church, 18 W. Wright St., Pensacola, FL 32501 (corner of Wright and Palafox) with Fr. Tim Backus officiating.
