Carol Helen Peterson of Pensacola, Florida peacefully passed into her Eternal Rest on July 11, 2025, at the age of eighty-four. She was born on December 11, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Carl & Helen Wegener. She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-three years, Phillip; four sons, Michael (Lynne), Mark (Nancy), Jeffrey (Gail), Jon (Yuki); one daughter, Cheryl Teets (Brian); Seven grandchildren, Ryan, Thomas, Jessica, Abigail, Alexander, Nicole, and Justin; Five great-grandchildren, Garrett, Sophie, Landon, Adelyn, and Haley.

Carol was devoted to her family, church, and volunteering. She was kind and compassionate with a heart for serving in many faith-based organizations. These included The Alpha Center, Habitat for Humanity, Paint your heart out Pensacola, Food Source, Thrivent Financial, Grace Prayer Shawl Ministry, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Grace OWL's Seniors Group, and Grace Stephen Ministry.

Carol loved to travel to see her family and organize adventures by motorcoach for the seniors group. Family reunions brought her great joy. Her hobbies included basket making, crocheting, ceramics, and exploring antique stores. She enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb for both indoor and outdoor plants.

Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and we celebrate all the happiness she brought to our lives. We praise God for His gift of Carol and her unending joy.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Azalea Trace Retirement Community Auditorium, located at 10100 Hillview Drive, Pensacola, FL 32514, on Monday, September 22, at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM. She will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
