Caroline Pittman Hatfield, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011. Caroline was born in Pensacola, FL on February 12, 1937 and graduated from Gulf Park College Finishing School in Gulfport, MS in 1954. She married Marine Corp. Lt. George W. Hatfield in June of 1956. They had three children and resided in Pensacola, FL. She retired from Sacred Heart Hospital after 26 years of service as a physical therapy aide. She was an avid bowler and bridge player. She loved NASCAR racing, and was Rick Crawfords biggest fan. She also loved her horses Peppi and Leo, and her dog Cooper. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was the fourth great-grand daughter of Marianna Pingrow Bonifay. Preceding her in death was her husband, George W. Hatfield; her mother, Mary Louise Pittman and her father, Grover M. Pittman. Survivors include her sister, Donna Pittman of Pace, FL; her sons, Michael (Shari)of Chandler, AZ, David (April)of Catawba, NC and daughter, Diane (Dennis)of Pace, FL.; eight grandchildren, Jason, Jessica (Chris), Christopher (Holly), Kristin, Cassie, Kellie, Kyle and Ashley. Visitation will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gail Coulter of Hendersonville, NC officiating. Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Carlton Vaughn, Ronny Miller, Jason Hatfield, Christopher Stephens, Chris Williams and Dickie Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will include Bruce Brock and Howard Smith. Special Thanks is given to Covenant Hospice, Joyce Goldenberg Inpatient Hospice Residence.
