Carolyn Malone Hudspeth graced the world on April 5, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio, a child of Ray C. and Miriam E. Malone and passed at age 70 to join her Savior and family and friends.
At age 7, her family moved to Summit, New Jersey to continue a happy childhood. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1968. She earned her B.S. in Education at F.S.U. as a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. After several years of teaching in the Escambia School District she began studies in reading and completed a Master of Arts in Reading from the University of West Florida.
Carol not only enjoyed teaching the children at P.K. Yonge, Pleasant Grove, Hellen Caro, and Blue Angels Elementary but enjoyed the close friends she made at all those places, especially the GOGs (Good Old Gals!) at Blue Angels. She taught in the district for a total of 32 years.
Active at First Baptist Church, she taught a middle school girls Sunday school class, was a faithful member of the Sanctuary Choir and was able to participate in trips to Japan and to Europe with them. She also sang with the choir at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Bob Morrison. She loved her participation in and life long friends from the Counselman Sunday school class.
She is preceded in death by many family, but especially by infant daughter, Megan and by her precious mother and father, Ray C. (Dee) and Miriam (Mimi) Malone who set a perfect example of what a loving couple and family should be.
