Obituary

Carrol O'Kelley, 77, of Pensacola passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at West Florida Hospital. Carrol was born on February 4, 1941 in Mousie, KY to Manis and Mary (Slone) Casebolt.

As a child, Carrol moved to Newport News, VA where she met her husband Lee O'Kelley. Carrol lived in the Philippines and South Africa before eventually returning to Florida. Over the years Carrol worked in real estate and managed rental properties.  Carrol moved to Middletown, OH for ten years helping her sister care for their ailing mother and recovering from an illness of her own. In 2016 Carrol returned to Florida to be near her daughter. Carol lived at University Pines where she made numerous friends.

Carrol was not one to be taken lightly and used to fight with the boys in school for throwing dirt on her shoes. Carrol was best remembered for her beautiful green eyes, enchanting smile, warm heart and witty sense of humor. Carrol was a member of the Milton chapter, Order of Eastern Star for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James R. Casebolt; sons, Patrick O'Kelley, Casey Lee O'Kelley and Shawn Patrick O'Kelley and a granddaughter Jennifer Robin Smith.

Carrol is survived by her sister, Margaret Edwards (Cecil) of Middletown, OH; brother, Lowell Thomas Casebolt (Edna) of Science Hill, KY; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Casebolt (James) of St. Clairsville, OH; daughter, Robin Nowak (Roman) of Milton, FL; grandsons, Ryan Weaver of Milton, FL and Daniel Weaver, Destin, FL; a great grandson, Daniel B. Smith and nephew, David Edwards (Juanita) of Cantonment, FL and their daughter, Dana in addition to other nieces and nephews. Carrol will be missed by her loyal Schnauzer companion Prissy.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00am Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Chaplain Ken Griffin will officiate, along with OES services.

The family expresses deep gratitude to University Pines, the staff of Solaris Health Care and the caring nurses and staff at West Florida Hospital.
