James Carson Stocks sailed on to his next great adventure on Sunday, February 19 ^th , 2023. He passed peacefully at home after giving it all he could in a long, brave fight against brain cancer.

Carson was born in Albany, GA on November 22 ^nd , 1983. He moved around to St. Simon's Island, Savannah, and Brunswick, GA before settling in Pensacola, FL in 2005.

Carson was a lifelong learner, curious and well versed about almost every subject. He is and always will be on a never-ending search for the truth. He was a lover of all creatures great and small, and he felt most at home surrounded by the natural world. He was honest, laidback, humble, unique, hardworking, intelligent beyond words, incredibly caring, and true to himself to the end.

He had many passions including sailing, skillfully playing his guitar, competing in matches at the shooting range, conspiracy theories, hiking, gardening, camping, canoeing, painting watercolors, driving his Miata, aviation, travel, and all things involving cars.

He enjoyed a stellar career in the automotive industry and had recently become a certified master technician with Nissan/Infiniti.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kristy; his mother, Serena Parris Ferrell Larrain; sister, K. Mikal; in-laws, Mark and Patricia Hintz, and numerous friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles who are truly all amazing people.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, March 11 ^th , 2023, at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel.
