On Sunday, July 18, 2021, Catherine Elizabeth Townsell Voisinet joined her late husband, Donald Louis Voisinet, in heaven.

Catherine was born on April 13, 1922, in Caney, KS, the sixth of nine children of William and Clara Townsell. She later moved to Buffalo, NY where she met and married her husband of 67 years, Donald Louis Voisinet. It was also in Buffalo where she had the first of her eight children. The family moved to Marietta, OH in 1956 where they lived until Don's retirement in 1981. Upon retirement Don and Catherine moved to Pensacola, FL where she has since resided.

Catherine was a matriarch to a large family of eight children who all survive her, Robert (Cathi) Voisinet of Marietta, OH, Donald Voisinet of Denver, CO, Larry (Debbie) Voisinet of Adelphi, MD, Paul (Susan) Voisinet of Kingwood, TX, Anne Voisinet of San Anselmo, CA, Gary Voisinet of San Francisco, CA, Chris (Rhonda) Voisinet of Evergreen, CO, and Cathy (Robert) Bouchon of New Orleans, LA; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; thirteen nieces; and eighteen nephews; as well as her younger sister, Mildred (John) Willett of Buffalo, NY.

Catherine will be remembered always for her family newsletters and making sure each person was remembered on their birthday. She was a friend to everyone and always had a compliment for everyone. She was a long-time member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, active with her children's schools including the founding of the St. Mary's Montessori School in Marietta, a 4H leader, five years with the Mass Media Department at Marietta College, a member of book clubs, bridge clubs, and the Women's Board at Pensacola Baptist Hospital.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Monday, July 26, 2021, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3295 Barrancas Ave., Pensacola, FL, with a reception to follow. A committal service is tentatively planned for April 13, 2022, in Marietta, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Finally, the family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the residents and staff of the Riviera Condominiums for their help, love, and support during our mother's 40 wonderful years as your neighbor and friend.
