Cecelia Theresa Scanlon, 82, passed away tranquilly at home Tuesday, November 8, 2011 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. She peacefully joined her parents, Audrey and William Harris Sr., and three of her sons, Patrick, James and Billy Scanlon. She leaves behind her beloved children, Maureen (Richard) Phetteplace, John Scanlon, and Andy (Etta) Scanlon; her eight grandchildren, Debbie (Wayne) Outten, Larry (Leigh) Green, Johnny (Amy) Scanlon, Eric Scanlon, Shane (Kelly) Scanlon, Theresa (Justin) O'Quinn, Alex Scanlon, and Brody Scanlon; her 13 great-grandchildren, Amber (Jacob) Exum, Logan Deel, Kyler Deel, Chance Outten, Emerald Green, Cameron Green, Audrey Green, Kelly Scanlon, Riley Scanlon, Zoe Scanlon, Alexcia O'Quinn, Andrew O'Quinn, and Bronson O'Quinn and 1 great great grandchild, Anya Exum. Pallbearers will be her 6 grandsons. Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, November 9, 2011at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel with a Rosary held at 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Thursday, November 10, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Pat Foley celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A special thanks to her care-taker, Hope Hewitt, for the love and help that she provided. Mom (Nana) is the monarch of our family; she will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
