Cecil Roan Harris, 79, of Pensacola, FL passed away Monday, December 19, 2016.

Cecil was born on February 11, 1937 in Thomasville, AL, the second son of Murfee and Beatrice Hawk Harris. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Norman and Meril Harris, along with their children, Laura Jean and Reginald Harris. Cecil graduated from Blackshire High School in Uria, AL and continued his education to complete two years at Pensacola Junior College. He worked for Cyanamid in Pace, FL for over 40 years. He enjoyed astronomy, model airplanes, and was an avid reader. Cecil's greatest love was his wife, his children and his grandchildren.

Cecil is preceded in death by his brother, Malcolm Harris.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Harris of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Cynthia Szymanski (Stephen) of Bethlehem, PA; son, Matthew Harris of Milton, FL; daughter, Mary Kortz (Jeff) of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, James Harris, Mary Szymanski, Christopher Szymanski, Emily Kortz and Nicholas Kortz;  as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 2:00pm until a Funeral Service to begin at 3:00pm Friday, December 23, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating.
