Cecil J. Sasser, 71, of Molino, FL passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Cecil was born and raised in Andalusia, AL. Cecil met his wife in Montgomery where they began their family. After the youngest child was born, they moved to Florida. Cecil was well known for his love of music, he played the drums in his younger years and loved playing for people and making them happy. He was a master carpenter; could build anything anyone wanted and was very good with his hands. Cecil was a very hardworking man that took great care of his family, and he made sure to instill those same values in his children. He was a big a kidder and loved joking around to make people laugh. He will be deeply missed.
Cecil is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Cannon; father, Quinton Sasser and his wife, Mary Sasser.
Survivors include his sisters, Janice and Judy; brothers, Bob Earl and Bill; children, Brian, Lena, Quincy and CR; seventeen grandchildren, Felica, Lil Brian, Jessica, Fran, CJ, Dustin, Haley, JD, Dillan, Samantha, Chad, Anthony, Isaiah, Autumn, JR, Noah and Nathan; as well as five great grandchildren, Amora, Tristan, Piper, Freyja and Neveah.
Graveside service will be held 3pm Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Mrytle Grove United Methodist Cemetery with Pastor Rachel Myrick officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dillan Sasser, Anthony Sasser, Chad Sasser, Josh Zisa, CJ Sasser, Dustin Sasser, Isaiah Sasser and JD Sasser.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Quincy or Cecil R. Sasser, 401 Chanterelle Dr., Pensacola, FL 32506.
Special thanks to all the medical staff at Hospice, Pastor Rachel Myrick and all the family and friends who stood by and cared for him in difficult times.
