Charles Harold Cook, 75, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. He was born on December 20, 1939 in Salisbury, NC. Graduated from Boyden High School in Salisbury and then attended college at Queens College in Charlotte. "Charlie", as he was affectionately known by most, started the Rubber and Specialties business in 1975, and now has grown to multiple locations in several states. This was truly his crown jewel of accomplishments. He continued in the daily business management of the corporation, but always enjoyed his Thursday afternoon golf outing with his friends. Stock car racing was also a continuing interest through the years, carried in his blood from the North Carolina heritage. Charlie was a member of Pensacola North Rotary Club and active participant for many years. He was, and is loved and respected by many people that he has come into contact with during his time here. Charlie Cook will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cook; mother, Eva House Cook and his brother, Larry Cook all of North Carolina. Charlie is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Chicarelli Cook; sons, Charles M. (Julie) Cook, Daniel M. Cook and Barry A. Cook; step-sons, James R. McGhee and Jeffrey M. McGhee; grandsons, Lance M. (Jenna) Cook and Caleb Z. (Tabitha) Cook; granddaughter, Joy B. Cook and great granddaughters, Hallie Mae Cook and Piper Leigh Cook; a sister, Patsy Cook and a extended family of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3-5pm Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Monday, February 23, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with his sons officiating. Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
