Charles William Hual, 93, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at his home. The youngest of seven children, Bill was born in Pensacola, FL January 20, 1924, to the late Hans and Lillian Welsh Hual.
He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1942, and served as a Naval Aviator during WWII. Mr. Hual returned to Pensacola and founded Guardian Moving and Storage, which he operated until his retirement in 1990. An active member of Pensacola Suburban West Rotary Club for many years serving as President and honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. A man of deep faith, Mr. Hual was a loyal communicant at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church. He was a kind and loving man, revered by his family and innumerable friends for his wit, wisdom and generous spirit.
Mr. Hual is preceded in death by his first wife, Bette France Hual; their daughter, Kristen; and his son-in-law, Brad Helvenston.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Raby; his sister, Betty Thornton; his children, Charles William Hual, Jr. (Donna Melton), Gretchen Helvenston, Lee Hual (Donna Yaste); his stepchildren, Jack Williams (Kelly), Louise Carlson (William), Douglas Mitchell (Leigh), Scott Mitchell (Emily), Buck Mitchell (Jennifer}, and Clifton Mitchell (Candace); twenty-three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Monday, May 15, 2017 at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, with the Reverend Father Nicholas Schumm celebrant.
