Charles Haywood Norton, 82, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Charles (C.H.) Norton was born in Enterprise, AL and grew up helping his dad build churches. He dedicated his life serving his church family at First Assembly. He was a successful apartment developer and enjoyed tennis after retiring. His greatest achievement was being a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather! He was a man of few words, like E.F. Hutton, when C.H. spoke, people listened!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Maurine Norton; brothers, Robert and Joe Norton and sister, Betty Kirby.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Allene Norton of Pensacola Beach, FL; son, Chuck Norton (Sandy) of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Shere Viar (Rod) of Terre Haute, IN and Sheila Hale (Michael) of Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren, Angel Duke, Tiffany Barnhill, Heather Brown, Brooke Haston, Alex Powell, Kris Norton, Robert Richards, Charles Richards and Brianna Richards; eleven great grandchildren and brother, Paul Norton.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon until the Funeral Service begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Livingston and Reverend David Scruggs officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Peter Duke, Nick Barnhill, Caleb Brown, Brandon Haston, Robert Powell, Robert Richards, Charles Richards and Ryan Blackwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, Transformation Church or the American Cancer Society.
