Charles Parker Riley, M.D. P.A, 85, of Pensacola, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2024. Born on June 20, 1939, to the late Chester Loris Riley, M.D. and Verna Parker Riley in Richmond, VA, Dr. Riley grew up in Winchester, VA. Dr. Riley attended Washington and Lee University and went on to attend Duke Medical School. Specializing in Cardiology, he completed his residency and medical training at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL. He was an influential member and staunch supporter of the Escambia County Medical Association, Pensacola Sports Association, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, and Pensacola Art Museum. As a lifetime Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he remained consummate student of medicine. As an avid golfer, and former President of the Pensacola Country Club he had an amazing 19 holes-in-one. Lastly, Dr. Riley was a steadfast and selflessly dedicated family man.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Suzanne Scoggins; two daughters, Parker Riley Smith and Page Leigh Riley Thomas; two sons, Houston Crozier Riley and Michael Colmore Riley; four grandchildren; and one great grandson.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Riley Home.
