With great sadness, the family of Dr. Charles Frank "Chuck" Smith, Jr., announces his passing on January 3, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Cameron; his children, Melanie White (Keith), Stuart Smith (Tammy) and Fisher Smith (Jamie); his grandchildren, Ian and Marshal White, Zack, Canon (Brooke), Collier and Lauren Smith; and great grandson, Colton Smith. His son, Scott Smith, preceded him in death.

Chuck was born on June 27, 1931 in Vaiden, MS and grew up in the Mississippi Delta. He graduated Vanderbilt University then received his medical degree from Tulane University Medical School. He served in the United States Navy. Dr. Smith was a respected physician practicing Orthopedic Surgery in Pensacola for 30 years. He was Commodore of the Pensacola Yacht Club. Chuck was an avid sailor, bicyclist and hiker.

At his request, services will be private. A reception will be held at the Pensacola Yacht Club on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4 to 6 pm.
