Charles Romax Weeks, 77, of Pensacola, died on February 27, 2014. He was born on October 13, 1936 in Opp, AL. He grew up in Winter Haven, FL and graduated from Winter Haven High School. A veteran of the U. S. Navy, Mr. Weeks served in active duty during the Korean conflict. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he worked as a Boeing Engineer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Houston, TX. Mr. Weeks was part of a team who tested equipment for the Saturn V rocket. He later left Boeing to found the Wainscot Construction Company with his wife. After retirement, he and his wife returned to Pensacola, FL where they first met. Mr.Weeks was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He was a supporter of Pensacola State College and the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. Mr.Weeks was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Viva Sparrow Weeks; his sons, Charles Weeks of Pensacola and Mark Weeks (Barry) of Mobile; his grandchildren, Charles Weeks and Anna Frances Weeks; his brother, Adolf "Buddy" Weeks and his sister, Patricia Rutledge. Visitation will be held from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola followed by a private family service and burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
