Obituary

Cheryl R. Bruno, 65, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Cheryl was born on October 7, 1957 to Dorothy and Harold Harden. As a child of a military family, Cheryl grew up in Panama City, FL, the Philippines, Homestead, FL, Chicopee, Massachusetts, Bellevue, Nebraska, Inlet Beach, FL, and the family settled in Pensacola, FL where Cheryl attended middle and high school.

Cheryl graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor's in Communication Arts and went on to work at BLAB Television as a TV host promoting local businesses across a variety of industries, including automotive, legal, culinary, medical and more. Cheryl also worked with the Children's Miracle Network telethon annual fundraiser in the 1980s.

Cheryl was best known for her quick-witted humor, larger than life personality, and unforgettable laugh. Cheryl also had a deep passion for music, reading, pop culture, cooking, meeting new people and connecting with friends.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Harden.

Cheryl is survived by her three children, Lauren Bruno Gascoigne (Matthew), Jon Harrison Bruno and Molly Bruno Risen (Matthew Daniel); three grandchildren, Hazel Faye, Juliette Lanelle, Ivy Lane; brother, Greg Harden (Diane), and first cousin and dear friend, Mary Villar.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, Florida.
