Richard W. "Chuck" Pearson, aged 89 years, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away to our Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Chuck was born on January 3, 1933, to the late Wiley and Gertrude Levy Pearson in Houston, TX. In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his two brothers, Thomas and Robert Pearson.
Chuck enjoyed all aspects of life and especially loved the outdoors. He was an excellent golfer in his day and belonged to the AGA, Amateur Golfers of America. He grew up in the heart of Louisiana with his parents and brothers. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and following his service he started his own tile and marble installation business which is where he worked until retirement. One of Chucks favorite pastimes was gaming/casino, he and Dawn both enjoyed traveling. One of his very favorite vacations of all time was a two week visit to Alaska. Chuck loved nature, especially animals, and they loved him. As a young man he also used to enjoy riding his Harley and was an avid philatelist. He above all loved to spend time with his family and to play Pinochle. Chuck has always been a practicing Catholic and had a deep devotion to Our Blessed Mother.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife, Dawn Pearson; his son, Master Chief John P. Pearson, and his wife, Zarina and their children, Daniel, Vincent and Zoe; two brothers, Jerry Pearson and William Pearson; nephews, Michael Pearson and Jeff Pearson; a niece, Carol McLain.
Rosary will be prayed at 5:00pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Visitation to follow from 5:30pm until 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, with Msgr. Michael Reed, celebrant.
Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. A Committal service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
