Cynthia Jean Boardwyne passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Cindy was born in Charlottesville, VA on March 11, 1967. Cindy was a Registered Nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for 25 years. Cindy loved her second family and every patient she cared for over the years.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Earnest Boardwyne; our son, David Boardwyne, his wife Nichole, their children, Samson and Willow; our daughter, Jennifer Boardwyne; our daughter, Jamie Thompson, her husband Tyler, their children Kinleigh and Kayleigh; her sister, Kim Williamson; her brother, Danny Smith; her Aunt Linda and Uncle Sherrill Isbell; a niece, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

We would like to thank everyone at Sacred Heart Hospital and UAB Hospital for the love and unbelievable care they gave Cindy. A special thank you to Dr. Rose for the incredible care and kindness he showed Cindy. A special thank you to Dr. Alsayed for the compassionate care he showed Cindy. And we would also like to thank Mr. Smith and the Harper-Morris family for the kindness they have shown our family.

Cindy was truly the kindest, sweetest, and most loving person in the world and is so missed.
