IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clare
Reins
November 5, 1943 – November 6, 2024
Clare Reins, 81, of Pensacola, FL went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Clare was born November 5, 1943, in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Southeast Warren High School, Class of 1962. In his younger days, he was a member of The Future Farmers of America. He was a member of Crossview Methodist Church. He was well known for his love of animals and was a great hog farmer. Clare was very talented, which allowed him to become a successful heavy construction worker, and was an expert when it came to farm tiling. His words often brought smiles to those around him as he loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He was best known for always wearing his yellow suspenders.
Clare was a hard-working man his entire life and was a part of many trades. While living in Louisiana he volunteered his time and heart to the Keithville Fire Department. He also worked at Ace Hardware for many years.
His creative mind and complex ways of thinking made him a master at word and jigsaw puzzles. He loved playing solitaire, mowing the lawn and was very talented at planning projects. He enjoyed traveling and talking about the good ole days on the farm.
With all his hobbies, his heart and focus were primarily on his love and commitment to his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Selma Reins; brother, Corwin Reins; sister-in-law, Vonna Reins; niece, Jami Reins Howitt; as well as a step-granddaughter, Rochelle Geter.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Reins; son, Troy Reins (Mary); grandchildren, Cody and Kamylia; brother, Carroll Reins (Julie); step-daughter, Renate (Charles); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Last but not least, his granddogs, Molleigh and Chief and grandcats, Sarabi, Little Bit, and Toby.
A Memorial Service will be held 3pm Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Crossview Methodist Church, 4945 Saufley Field Rd., Pensacola, FL 32526, with Rev. Nancy Hammond officiating.
