Clarence Vivian Kirkland, 86, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013. Clarence was born in Slocomb, AL on July 8, 1926, and was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a Scout Master, Deacon and Elder of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Pensacola. He retired from Champion International Paper Company after 32 years. Clarence is survived by his wife, Norma Lenhart Kirkland; sons, Jeffrey Wayne, Paul Clarence and Dean Alan and their respective families; 2 brothers, William Quincey and Steve W. Kirkland and 1 sister, Delena Russell along with 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, June 28, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Beall officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
