Clarice P. Brantley, 71, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Mrs. Brantley was born on September 4, 1937 in Inverness, MS to Walter and Clara (Price) Pennebaker. She was raised and educated in Inverness, MS, and moved to Pensacola in 1965. She received her Doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Brantley was an educator at Woodham High School, PJC and UWF for many years. She was Methodist by faith. Her parents, Walter and Clara Pennebaker preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Dr. William T. Brantley; daughter, Betsy Brantley; two sons, Tom Brantley (Sherry) and Tim Brantley; grandchildren, Kristen Moore (Jeff) and Julia Brantley; great-granddaughter, Madeline Moore; sister, Martha Pinkston (Erin); brother, Walter Pennebaker (Joyce). Family will receive friends at 12:00noon, Saturday August 29, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel until the Memorial Service to begin at 1:00pm with Rev. John Bryan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children's Home Society of Florida in Pensacola, 1300 N.
