Connie Joe Gossett, 76, died May 2, 2020 after a lengthy illness.

Joe was born April 18, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a crane operator by trade and never met a stranger. He loved fishing, Bama football, and hanging out with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Theresa Land Gossett; brothers, Ferrell, Billy Ray, and Danny Gossett; sisters, Thomasine Parker, Henrietta Clopton, Eva Dell Rogers, and Theresa Ann Gossett.

Mr. Gossett is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Gossett; sons, Sam Hudgens IV, Brian Gossett, Christopher Gossett, Randall Gossett and Timothy Gossett; as well as his brother, Johnny Gossett, Sr. (Diane).

Private family memorial services will be held.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to his nurse Jeanette and the entire staff at the Covenant Hospice Unit at West Florida Hospital.
