Frank Nolen, Jr., 80, of Pensacola, FL passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010. Frank was born in Atmore, AL on November 3, 1929. After graduation he joined the US Army and retired after 22 years of service, obtaining the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Mr. Nolen was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Hiroko Nolen; two sons, Danny Nolen (Jennifer) and Jimmie Nolen; six grandchildren; two sisters, Agnes Carter and Jessie Perry; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held 9-9:45am Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Cortege will depart Harper-Morris Chapel at 9:45am for a Graveside Service to be held 10:15am at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Full Military Honors. Chaplain Ken Griffin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 707 E. Cervantes St., Suite B, Pensacola, FL 32501.
