Cynthia Ann Price Crutchfield, 76, died at after a courageous battle with cancer at her home in Pensacola, FL with her family at her side on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

Known as Cindy, she was the beloved wife of Wally Crutchfield for 53 years. Cherished mom of Alisa (Adam) Schweigert and Trey (Chris) Crutchfield. Much loved granny of Lennon Schweigert and Layne Schweigert. Sister of Carol Fowler. Admired cousin of Barbara Condit. She was born in Geneva, AL to the late Andrew Jackson Price, Jr. and Trubie Lee Price and will be missed by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Cindy was an educator who proudly taught American history and social studies for 37 years. She influenced countless students with her firm but caring approach. During her tenure, she discovered the value of travel through educational field trips to historical destinations and national parks. She and Wally continued to enjoy that exploration in retirement.

Cindy had a gentle spirit and a big heart. She was a good listener whose sage advice was paired with an easy laugh. She was guided by a strong faith throughout her life and was a long-time member of Olive Baptist Church, then First Baptist of Milton.

A private service celebrating her life will be held on September 2, 2020, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, with her beloved brother-in-law, Eddie (Martha) Crutchfield, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Cindy, to Rally Foundation (childhood cancer research) or METAvivor (metastatic breast cancer research and support).
