Daniel Bridges, Jr.
November 17, 1944 – October 24, 2019
Captain Paul Daniel "Dan" Bridges, Jr., USCG (ret) age 74, passed away October 24, 2019 at his home on Dauphin Island, AL. He was a proud U.S. Coast Guard retiree (Captain-06), having served 26 years at seven USCG Air Stations as a helicopter pilot: New Orleans, Puerto Rico, Mobile, Kodiak, Alaska, Savannah, Pensacola, and Miami. Dan's interests and hobbies included fishing, shrimping, gardening, square dancing and sports. He held a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Puerto Rico. Dan was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents Paul D. and Nan Elizabeth Koregay Bridges; and niece, Jennifer Elizabeth Bridges.
Dan is survived by his children, Paul Daniel Bridges, III (Kelly Melton), Rebecca Wilcox (Steven); grandchildren, Jordan Bridges, Nicholas Bridges and Grayson Wilcox; brother, Albert Bridges (Treva); and Pat Bridges; and a host of extended family and close friends.
Memorial visitation will be 9:30am, until the memorial service begins at 10:00am, Saturday, November 02, 2019 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola FL 32504. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14 th floor, New York, NY 10004.
