Daniel Eric Doelker of Pensacola passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. Eric was born on April 23, 1975 in Pensacola to Dr. Richard and Linda Doelker. He married Margot McMahon, and together they had one son, Richie. After receiving his degree from University of West Florida in Engineering Technology with a specialization in construction, Eric became LEED certified and worked as a Project Manager for Greenhut Construction. Dedicated to community service, Eric served on the Advisory Board to the USO, and was recently named Suburban West Rotary Rookie of the Year. Eric was a graduate of the 2012 class of Leadership Pensacola (LeaP), and was nominated to act as the LeaP Class Project Facilitator. He also served as the Chair of the Membership Committee for the US Green Building Council. Eric had a passion for all outdoor activities, and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was precise in all of his endeavors, but always felt his biggest accomplishment was his son, Richie. Eric was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Margot; his son, Richie; his parents, and his brother, David. Visitation will be held 2:30pm until a Memorial Service to begin at 3:30pm Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 7979 N. 9th Ave., a reception will follow the service, in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Daniel Eric Doelker Scholarship Fund for the Building Construction Program at the University of West Florida or to the Suburban West Rotary Club, or an organization of your choice.
