Daniel Perry Holden, 78, of Lumberton, TX passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Danny was born on April 25, 1946, in Aransas Pass, TX, to Dan "Pat" Holden and Hazel Grace Brunson. He was one of four children. They moved to Pensacola, FL when he was a young boy and attended school at Clubbs. Danny went on to join the US Army and became a Sergeant. He served three tours in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. Danny married Mary Alana Williams on March 28, 1970, and became a father to two daughters, Candy and Laura. He worked at the family fish market, and he enjoyed building model airplanes and fishing and boating. Danny later went on to serve in the Axillary Coast Guard in Texas and became a Captain. Upon returning to Texas, he married Beverly Hollinhead-Hamilton. Danny dedicated his life to his family and his country. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, father and citizen. Danny served us all.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Merlea Verlon; brother, Gary Holden; as well as his daughter, Mary Candyce Holden.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; daughter, Laura M. Nichols (Dalhton); granddaughter, Alanah Megan Holley; grandson, Aubrey Allen Ryan Holley; sister, Patrica Gaines and stepdaughter, Brandi Hamilton.

A visitation will be held 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am Thursday, December 12, 2024, at The Mission Anglican Church, 609 N. Alcaniz St., Pensacola, FL, with Fr. Ron Browning officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery on Creighton Rd.

Pallbearers will be Dalhton J. Nichols, Sr., Daniel C. Williams, and Allen C. Williams, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Aubrey Allen Ryan Holley and Bill Cole.
