Obituary

Daniel Oliver Perdue, 55, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Saturday, September, 23, 2017.

Danny Perdue was born Oct 23, 1961 in Pensacola Florida. Danny was known for being soft spoken, but clear in his conviction for his Savior. His talent, humility and friendship will be missed by so many.

Danny attended Washington High School, PJC and George Stone Vocational School. Danny found that his gift was working with his hands with a specific passion for the automotive industry. He worked a number of jobs that allowed hands on involvement including his family business Perdues Rv's, Gulf Power and more, but his passion called him to challenge his small town skills on the largest stage in the world. Danny took a leap into NASCAR and moved to Mooresville NC to fabricate for Eel River Racing. His skills were quickly recognized and his hobby became a thriving career. All great things come to an end and Danny brought his newly validated skills back to Pensacola. Danny was able to work locally and rekindle many friendships. Many of these friendships (too many to list) became life long bonds that started with cars but became a brotherhood.

Danny's parents Bill Sr. and Glendora Perdue were both lost while Danny was a young man and he often spoke of his memories of his Mother and Father, their family vacations and a simpler time. Danny was always proud of being a self-made man but often referenced his youth as shaping the foundation of his adult life.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Gloria and her son, Glenn, his wife, Dawn and their children, Peyton and Brooklyn. Additionally he survived by his brother, Bill Perdue and his wife, Jocelyn; his uncle, John Perdue and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. There will be an antique car procession following the service to Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Danny left us with one quote that will always be in our memories and shows his unwavering faith.

When asked if he wanted to be buried in his signature jeans, hot rod tee-shirt and ball cap, he had a clear Danny answer. "NO!, I want to wear a suite so I look my best to meet my Lord". We all should strive to be as Humble, Gracious and Confident in our faith as Danny lived.

The family and friends would like to thank, Dr. James Watkins and Monica for their care. Additional thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice, Cherly Glenson for her compassion and the Wonderful folks at Covenant Hospice for being there while Danny transitioned from their hands to God's embrace.
