Daniel Eugene Seitz, Jr., 31, of Pensacola, FL lost his battle with PTSD and moved on ahead of us to lead the way to a far better eternal rest on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
Daniel was a decorated combat veteran having served in the United States Army with the 10th Mountain Division (Fort Drum, NY), 25th Infantry Division (Schofield Barracks, HI) and Florida Army National Guard 153rd Calvary Regiment (Panama City, FL). He obtained the rank of Corporal and received the Iraq Campaign Medal with three bronze stars, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, Army Commendation Medal with bronze oak leaf, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Contact Medal with bronze knotted bar, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Bar (6th Award), Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), NATO Medal, numerous Marksmanship Awards and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
After separating from the military he was employed with Navy Federal Credit Union and Apple, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David.
He is survived by his wife, Breezie (Briggs); children, Alexis (5) and Lukas (10m); mother, Lynda Seitz; father, Daniel, Sr. and stepmother, Julie; and siblings, James, Michael, and Reanna Seitz (Derek) Fielden.
An Interment Service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery aboard NAS Pensacola at 10:20am on Friday, July 15, 2016.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel by 9:30am for the procession to the cemetery with the Patriot Guard Escort.
