Danny Marvett Brock, 50, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Danny was born in Pensacola, FL on April 16, 1962 and graduated from Tate High School in 1980. He followed in his father's footsteps at Brock's Chevron Station and then pursued a career in the medical assistant field from Capps College. Danny worked for 9 years with Dr. Kevin Welch in dermatology at the Medical Center Clinic. That was his family away from home, whom he loved very much! He also worked as an adjunct teacher at Pensacola State College in the skin care department. This too was another family and he enjoyed his students and what he could bring into their learning life. When he was not at work, Danny loved playing guitar and singing, riding motorcycles, fishing with his dog Baloo and golfing with Robert. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mims and paternal grandfather, Vestus "Happy" Brock. Danny is survived by his wife of 27 years; Marguerite (Margie) Brock; two children, Daniel Adam Brock and Kelli Rene Brock; his dogs Baloo and Meeko; mother, Blanche Brock; father, Floyd Brock (Helen); an older brother, Edsel Brock; twin sister, Donna Brock Conner; half sister, Belinda Sue Alexander (Tom); step-sister, Rene Wiser; step-brother, Sammy Forrester (Pricilla) and many aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to your local Joyce Goldenberg Covenant Hospice Residence, 10075 Hillview Dr., Pensacola, FL 32514, in memory of Danny Brock. This place treated Danny and I wonderful!!!! Special Thanks go out to Dr. Welch for his humor and all he has done for Danny and our family. Also to Dr. Gage and Hilda....for being there 24 hours to answer questions and being a rock to lean on.
