Daniel "Danny" Raymond Canterbury, 58, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019.

It pains me to admit it but evidently, I have passed away. I didn't plan for this, especially for my family and friends that I have left behind. Fortunately, however, my last words are being conveyed through my youngest, smart-aleck daughter, "Tadpole". Although my life has passed, the world continues to spin, so please sit down before you fall down. While we are on the topic of my life, let's start from the beginning. I was born on May 20, 1961, in Key West, FL, the son of Raymond and Dorothy Canterbury. I'm survived by my two sisters, Deborah and Lisa. I was a spiritual man and found solace in the church. I took fashion advice from no one, and I was perfectly content in a t-shirt, shorts, flip flops, and my FSU ball cap (the family forgave my team loyalty) like a true Floridian. Nothing brought more peace in my life quite like relaxing at my favorite fishing spot on Johnson Beach, fishing pole in one hand and an ice-cold beer in the other. It's a well-known fact that I have never met a stranger, and I would tell anyone who were willing to listen... how genuinely proud I am of my two wonderful daughters. My talkative nature and cheerful disposition might have got me in trouble a time or two, but you only live once right!? (…to soon?)

Visitation will be held 2:00pm until a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00pm Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
