Danny C. York, 54, of Pensacola Beach, FL died unexpectedly on Friday, January 20, 2017. Danny was born March 21, 1962 in Marquette, MI, the son of Elizabeth Bynum York Steadham and the late Lawson Charles York. He grew up as a child of the Air Force, but lived most of his life in Mobile, AL. He graduated from Murphy High School in 1980. Danny became a paramedic and worked in and around the Mobile area. He went back to school at the University of South Alabama, graduating with a Masters of Health Science in August, 1999. He was a Physician's Assistant for Trauma Services at Sacred Heart Hospital and most recently at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center. Danny also worked at Dr. Lanway Ling's family medical practice in Pensacola, He was very well known in the medical field and truly loved what he did. He dedicated his life to helping people.

Danny loved cooking for friends, family and especially his most treasured and beloved companion, Jenny Leidner. He was most proud of becoming Paw Paw to his 11 month old grandson, Mason.

Danny is survived by his son, Daniel Charles York; his companion, Jenny Schaller Leidner; mother, Elizabeth Bynum York Steadham and step-father, Charles R. Steadham; brother, Larry Alan York and sisters, Robin Herrington and Diane Peterson; uncle, Jack York and nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Danny's name may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 5200 Bayou Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32503.
