Darlene L. Maret, 65, of Pensacola, FL died Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Reading, PA. Mrs. Maret was born in Reading, PA on December 16, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Chester L. and Eva A. (Werner) Nye. She graduated from Governor Mifflin High School, Shillington, PA in 1961 and graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, West Reading, PA. Mrs. Maret was employed as a Registered Nurse, last working in a Physicians office in Memphis, TN. She moved to Pensacola 14 years ago and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was the knitting instructor at JoAnns Fabrics, and ran the prayer shawl ministry at her church. Cooking and knitting were her favorite things. Mrs. Maret is survived by her husband Dale L. Maret, Jr.; her son Timothy L. Maret (Candy Gore-Maret) of Peachtree City, GA; daughter Pamela Ann Maret of Pensacola; four grandchildren J. Alex Gore, J. Arthur Gore, Joshua D. Hamilton and Lydia D. Hamilton; brother Robert L. Nye, Reading, PA; sister Joyce E. Charles, in Florida. Visitation will be 5:00pm-7:00pm Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Friday, June 26, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4600 N. 9th Avenue, with Pastor Matthew Dollhausen officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30pm at Barrancas National Cemetery.
