Darrell Wayne Critz, II, a veteran of the Gulf War and resident of Milton, passed away on March 9, 2023, surrounded by family.
"Buster," as he was known to many, was born August 13, 1967, to Darrell and Patricia (Eaton) Critz and attended Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, and the University of West Florida (UWF) in Pensacola, FL, before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Darrell deployed as medical personnel during multiple military operations including Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom.
Darrell and his wife Marybeth retired from the U.S. Air Force, moved to the Navarre Beach area, and later settled in the Milton area. Darrell enjoyed gardening, reading American and U.S. presidential history, hiking state and national parks, and birdwatching.
Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Darrell.
He is survived by his wife, Marybeth (Kujawski) Critz; mother, Patricia Critz of Clanton, AL; stepdaughter, Dana (Dave) Robbins and their children, Norah, Owen, and Charlotte of Glendale, WI; stepdaughter, Karen (Christopher) Ledford of Irving, TX; and sister, Pamela (Michael) Stock of Clanton, AL.
A Memorial Service to honor Darrell's life and military service, which will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
