David Glynn DeArmond, 67, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015. He was born March 1, 1948 at Lackland, AFB in San Antonio, TX. David traveled extensively with his Air Force Family--Japan during the Occupation after World War II, Washington, D.C., Tripoli, Libya, Great Falls, MT, Ogden, UT, Colorado Springs, CO. After graduation from St Mary's Catholic School in Colorado Springs, he went to college at LSU, Baton Rouge, LA as a freshman and then transferred to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs Campus. While at the university he taught a class in Invertebrate Zoology. He was selected to be in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, 1970-71. He graduated with a BA degree in Zoology. After graduation he worked for The Broadmoor Corporation as an Engineer on the Cog Railway. He then moved to Livermore, CA where he worked for his brother at The Pacific Cartage and Warehousing company. He moved to Pensacola, FL in 1999 where he worked at several companies until he retired in 2006. He took care of his parents, Velfort J. DeArmond, Jr. and Barbara 0. DeArmond. He loved his church and was very faithful as a member of St Paul Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Barbara DeArmond, Pensacola; brother, Barry Michael DeArmond, Los Gatos, CA; aunts, Dorothy DeArmond Melancon of Greenwell Springs, LA, Barbara Ann DeArmond Forbes (Cecil) of Pride, LA, Gloria Triggs O'Neill of Austin, TX and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be at 4:30pm with a Rosary beginning at 5:00pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3131 Hyde Park Rd., Pensacola, FL 32503. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1300 E. Hayes St., Pensacola, FL. The DeArmond Family would like to thank David's caregivers, Carol Atwater, Peggy Short, Margaret Joseph, Judy Condon, Wayne Epley and Sacred Heart Hospital.
