Dr. David L. Harden, MD, 85, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Dr. Harden was born on July 13, 1932 in Nichols, FL to David and Grace Winifred (Irby) Harden. He graduated Valedictorian from Pensacola Junior College. In 1957, he graduated from Tulane Medical School. He practiced medicine for over 40 years, 10 of which were in Mulberry, FL with the remainder in Pensacola. He went through Flight School at NAS Pensacola and served his country honorably in the US Navy aboard Carrier CVA31. He loved nature, fishing, astronomy and mathematics. Dr. Harden never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting and talking with new people and building new relationships. He had a generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand and provide support to anyone in need, especially when it came to his family. We will never forget his love for family. He was a true family man.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margarett Harden.
He is survived by his brothers, Mark Harden and Henry Harden; sister, JoAnne Huff; his children, David Harden, Deann Brewer, and Bryl Harden; grandchildren, Cassidy Harden, Joshua Harden, Christopher Brewer, Katherine Brewer, Nydia Harden, David D. Harden, Michael Harden and two great-grandchildren.
Private Family Services will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
