IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Brian
Herring
June 6, 1961 – February 18, 2022
David Brian Herring, 60, of Pensacola, FL was born June 6, 1961, to Howard E. Herring, Jr. and Hilda Thompson Herring. He passed on February 18, 2022, in his Pensacola home.
First and foremost, our big little brother, David, was always there to help his family and friends. David cherished and uplifted those around him with kindness and encouragement. He was jovial and fun with a boisterous lively presence and zest for life. He enjoyed making others smile and laugh.
David graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School; attended University of West Florida- Political Science Bachelor courses. Attending Pensacola State College, he earned Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Mechanical Design Application and Applied Electrical Engineering as well as Technical Certificates in Computerized Wood Working and Electronics.
He worked construction, remodeling, and landscaping.
David celebrated the simple pleasures in life and revered time with his friends and family and being immersed in nature. He was a tennis and golf player, a hunter, an animal and plant expert, and a free spirit. At an early age, he trained hunting dogs, became a birdwatcher and a fisherman. He kept his birdfeeders full and admired many sunrises on the deer stand and many sunsets over Bayou Grande. He appreciated life.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Timothy "Tim" Herring.
He is survived by his siblings; Richard Brant (Susan), Howard Douglas "Doug", Jonathan "Jon" Michael, Elizabeth "Faye" Kirk (Doug), and sister-in-law, Victoria; eight nieces and nephews; Richard "Rick" Brant II (Barbara), Daniel "Scott" (Catherine), Ashley Susanne Aeppli (Ian), Jonathan "Jon" Douglas, Howard "Logan", Rachel Morgan Caring (Drew), Jessica Maree, and Sarah Elizabeth Kirk; as well as twelve grandnieces and grandnephews; Brant, Audrey, Jackson, Isla, River, Arlo, Anthony, Mikaela, Carter, Olivia, Leviah and Eden.
David, our big little brother and his gentle giant heart will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by family and friends.
