David Provoost Kellen, 64, of Gulf Breeze, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

David was born on July 27, 1960, in Decatur, AL to George and Terry Kellen. He moved to Pensacola, FL in 1976. He worked for Exxon Corporation in New Orleans, LA for 12 years. He then enrolled in Tulane University on a pre-med track. He attended Louisiana State University New Orleans School of Medicine and graduated in 1997. After completing Primary Care residencies in Charleston, SC and St. Petersburg, FL, he joined Live Oak Medical Associates in Gulf Breeze, FL in 2000. He served the Gulf Breeze community and Baptist Health Care for 24 years. Beyond his professional career, he enjoyed boating, sailing, fishing, and hiking the waters and trails of Northwest Florida.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Daniel Kellen.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Condon Kellen; his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Kellen; his son, Anderson Provoost Kellen; his mother, Terry Provoost Kellen; his sister, Carol Kellen Cobler; his brother, Daniel George Kellen; as well as his sister, Nancy Catherine Kellen.

A funeral service will be held 4:00pm Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Pensacola Beach, FL, with a visitation to follow until 5:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Trail Association or the Baptist Health Care Foundation.
