Obituary

David Scott Lee, Sr., age 55, of Milton, FL., passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 after a tough battle with COVID-19.

David made every effort to fight and did his very best. Through everything, he remained positive and optimistic, even making plans for fishing trips after. He took pride in his love for fishing and made sure his family loved it as much as he did. David was a very family oriented man. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, father and grandfather. He loved football and his favorite teams were FSU and the Miami Dolphins, even if they were not the best. He loved his motorcycle and always made sure to pair it with his Mohawk. He was the best cook even though his meals were just random concoctions and he made the BEST Jambalaya but always said he'd take the recipe to the grave and he kept his word. David was the biggest know-it-all and could never let anyone tell him he was wrong. He was addicted to his phone game and could never be bothered when playing, but always made sure his family was smiling first. He accepted everyone as his own and welcomed them with open arms. David accomplished so much in his life. He was born on March 2, 1966 in Pensacola, FL. After high school he joined the Army and served twelve years active duty and eight years in the National Guard. During his time, he received his Ranger and Airborne patch. He was an American Hero and will always be remembered as such. After leaving, he went back to college to earn his Bachelors in Business. He was also a member of the VFW. David's life dream was to travel the country in his R.V., camping, in which he and his fiancé planned to do. David will be remembered by his goofy smile and dad jokes. He wasn't just an American Hero, he was a hero in our hearts. Today is a celebration of his life and the memories etched in our minds. This is not a goodbye, this is a "see you later".

He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lee; daughter, Jessica Lee; brother, Danny Lee and step father, Raymond Moore.

David is survived by his two sons, David Lee,of Pensacola, FL and Thomas Lee (Katherine), of Crestview, FL; his two daughters, Tiffany Melgar (Herbert), of Milton, FL and Michelle Lee, of Pensacola, FL; his mother, Mary Mitchell-Moore, of Spanish Fort, AL; his fiancé, Patricia Miracle, FL; a sister, Wanda Lee-Thomas, of Milton, FL; a brother, Craig Lee, of Mobile, AL; He also leaves behind his happiest treasures; his four grandchildren, Sofia, Ember, Mauricio and Lucas. He also leaves behind his very beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; several cousins and his many friends also survive.
