David Douglas Manz, 50, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
David was born on March 6, 1971 in Orange, CA and graduated from Woodham High School in Pensacola, FL in 1989. He was a Lawn Care Specialist with West Florida Turf Services. David spent many years keeping the grounds of Gulf Power pristine and beautiful. He took pride in his work and always went the extra mile to make his work perfect. David loved the outdoors and had a strong sense of adventure. He enjoyed skydiving, white water rafting, amusement parks, and hanging out in the water and spending time with family and friends. His sense of humor brought great joy and always lit up any room he was in. He was dedicated to his nieces and nephews who affectionately called him "Uncle Owen". David will be greatly missed by all who knew him,
Survivors include his parents, Douglas and Shirley Mead Manz; his siblings, Christina Arner, Pamela Elsey, and Stephen Manz; nephews, Joshua Villacres, Zachary Arner, Nathaniel Arner, and Jacob Arner; niece, Emily Villacres-Jimenez; great-niece, Mia Villacres-Jones; as well as a large extended family and countless friends that became family.
Visitation will be held 5:00pm-6:00pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with rosary to be prayed at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Dominic Phan Sa celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
