David Michael Mull, 63 of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 26, 2010. David was born in Sylacauga, AL to Woodrow and Willie Mae Mull. He attended Jacksonville State University on a basketball scholarship and was named a Century Athlete at Jax State in 1983. He was named "King of Hearts" in the American Heart Association Fund Raiser, Gulf Breeze, in 1993. David has worked in the funeral industry since 1973 and has worked as a sales rep for Batesville Casket Company from 1982 to the present, achieving many recognitions and honors along the way. He made and was the dearest of friends to his colleagues calling everyone by their given names, from the person who swept the floor to the one who owned the business. Sports were at the top of his most favorite list of things to do, and Alabama football was at the top of that list, traveling many far and fun places with his friends for many years of victories and fun, even in defeat. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years Averette Penick Mull, son, Earl "Chip" Culver and wife Candie and his grand-kids Hunter, Faith and Logan who lovingly called him their Big Daddy ; his niece, Melody (Doug) Kemp and their daughter, Zoey. Other friends and family include Debbie Rowe Pearson (David), the Rowe Family, Danny Bryan (Kim) and Bryan family, godchildren Leigh, Brandon and Jonathan Bryan. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Francis Assisi Episcopal Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Memorial contributions to the Glory of God in Davids name to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 1 St. Francis Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561, will be gratefully appreciated.
