David Joseph Pinder, 59, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.

He was born in Miami, FL on March 3, 1957. David graduated from the University of Florida in 1981 with a Master's degree in Architecture. David has been a practicing Architect in Pensacola since 1987. In 2004 he established Pinder-Martin Associates, Inc. with business partner Michael Martin. His company has won numerous awards in commercial and residential design. He was Plans Examiner for Escambia County and also served on the City of Pensacola Architectural Review Board. He was affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of Pensacola as well as a member of the Building Officials Association of Northwest Florida and LEAP.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lynne Slater Pinder; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip David Pinder (Morgan Gradia) and daughter, Jillian Diane Pinder. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Pratt (Buckner); brothers, Thomas Pinder and James Pinder (Teresa); brothers-in-law, Fred Slater (April) and David Slater (Lisa); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Family and friends will be received 5-7pm Monday, August 15, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00am Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.
