Farrell "Dean" Messer, 77, of Pace, FL, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Dean was born in Temple, TX on January 17, 1945, but spent most of his life in Pensacola, FL. He served in the United States Navy and retired from the United States Postal Service. Dean loved playing golf with his family and all his golf "buddies". He was an avid golfer but also enjoyed fishing. Dean's absolute joy in life was spending time with his family and his dogs.
Dean is preceded in death by his mother, Oma Tatum; his father, John N. Messer; as well as five brothers, and three sisters.
Dean is survived by his wife, Julie A. Messer; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Shelly Messer; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Deanna Messer; five grandchildren, Kaleb Messer, Cooper Messer, Harley Messer, Connor Messer, and Emma Messer.
Visitation will be held 4:30pm until a memorial service to begin at 5:30pm Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Msgr. Michael Reed officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 6451 Park Ave. Milton, FL, 32570.
