Obituary

Dean Donald Yazak, 100, of Pensacola, FL passed Friday, December 10, 2021.

Mr. Yazak was born January 4, 1921 in Salamanca, NY to Harry and Sophia (Cook) Yazak. He served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II, Korea and the Vietnam War. He retired as a Major after 23 years of service. After his military career, he obtained a Doctorate in Education from the University of Houston, Professor in Texas School District and later served in school administration, also in the Texas School District. In the early 90's, he and his late wife, Victoria moved to Pensacola and became active members of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Mr. Yazak enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 75+ years, Victoria Barbara Yazak; his parents, siblings and his son, Dean L. Yazak.

A Memorial Mass will be 10:30am Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sons, David L. Yazak and Daniel L. Yazak (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Ginger; and his five grandchildren, Pete, Heather, Dean II, Ann Laura and Barbara Sophie and great grandchildren.
