Deanna Collins, 74 of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday, February 13, 2015. Deanna was born on September 22, 1940 in Ft. Worth, TX where she was raised attended school, there and at North Texas State College. She was a Flight Attendant with Eastern Airlines in Miami, New York City and New Orleans before marrying Roger Collins in 1962. Preceded in death by her parents, Vernell and Erwin Jacob; an infant daughter, Heather Pauline, in 1967, and her brother, Thomas Jeffery of Ft Worth. Surviving family include husband, Roger; son and wife Thomas & Lisa Collins of Cliffton Springs, NY; granddaughter and husband Samantha & David Pisanzio of Maysville, NC; daughter and husband Heidi and Tony Emerson; grandchildren, Emery Claire 6, and Trace 8 of Jasper, AL, and sister-in-law, Jill Jeffery of Ft Worth. Her husband was in the Moving & Storage business and Deanna followed Roger in his career moving to 13 different major cities in the US over the 52 years of their marriage. While living in Miami in the 70's she began working in the Commercial Lending Department of a bank and from that point on she followed her own career path in all the cities where they resided. In the 15 years they've been in Pensacola Deanna was active in the Warrington Elkettes and Laureate Gamma Sigma of Beta Sigma Phi. She and Roger enjoyed playing Bridge with friends and the on- going and never ending social activities with a group of wonderful friends originally known as the 8-Ball Gang. A Memorial Service will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd. at 11:00am Wednesday, February 18, 2015, with a social gathering with food to follow at the Warrington Elks Lodge, 727 S. 72nd Avenue, Pensacola.
