Obituary

Debra Boland, 48, passed away peacefully on Friday September 26, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She was surrounded by her family and fought a courageous battle to overcome a lengthy illness. She was dedicated to her family and children and loved her pets. She has 3 beautiful children who she cared for and dedicated her life to. In addition, she was a bright, intelligent, beautiful, very loving, and free spirited person who will be missed dearly by all those that knew her. Mrs. Debra Boland was born in Fall River, MA, but resided in Woonsocket RI for many years. She graduated from Woonsocket High School and after moving to Plattsburgh, NY in 1990, she moved to Pensacola and had been a resident since 1992. She was an avid lover of the beaches and the style of life that Pensacola provided. She is survived by her parents, Eugene and June Raymond of Lakeland, FL, Sister Dina Raymond of Lakeland, FL, brother Arthur Raymond of Pascoag, R.I, her husband John Boland of Pensacola, her daughter Cori Wall, Son in Law Brett Wall of Nashville TN, her daughter Ariana Harrison and step-son Shawn Boland both of Pensacola, FL, The Boland and Raymond family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all that helped in giving her the loving care that was needed. We would like to thank Dr. Eldawy of Sacred Heart Oncology, Dr. Joe Garrett of Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, all of the staff of the Sacred Heart Palliative Care Unit where she spent her final days, as well as Dr. Krentel and Covenant Hospice of Northwest Florida. A receiving of friends will be held at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from 5-7pm with a Celebration of her Life Service at 7pm in the chapel with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 5401 Corporate Woods Drive, Pensacola, FL 32504 or the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, University of South Florida, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612 in her name. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
