Delbert "Del" H. Shortt, age 86, of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023.  Delbert was born on May 16, 1937, to the late Delbert A. and Anne Marie Leslie Shortt in Washington D.C.

Delbert is survived by is devoted wife of 63 years, Margie A. Shortt; his loving children, Delbert R. Shortt (Debra) and Debbie A. Shortt-Beddow (Bill); his adoring grandchildren, Shainna M. Kent (Kevin), Tyler J. Beddow and Taylor A. Beddow; his great grandchildren, McKenna M. Kent and Kai R. Kent; his sister-in-law, Dawn E. Martin.

Loved you then, Love you still.

Always have, always will.

I love you more than myself.

I have watched you while you sleep.

Every time you're upset, my heart sinks.

You make my life meaningful.

I would give you my last dollar.

You inspire me and give me hope.

I smile knowing you are my child.

You could NEVER disappoint me.

You're the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I will always be "Loving You".

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 7, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 100 Daniel Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561, with Fr. Joh Cayer and Msgr. Luke Hunt serving as Celebrant.
