Dempsey Clayton "Clay" Hawks, 53, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Clay was born and raised in Pensacola where he chose to reside his entire life with his family. He loved fishing, boating and spending time on the water. For over 20 years, he ran a successful business and always sought new opportunities and challenges. He was known to all for his kindness, strength of character and infectious personality. Above all, Clay loved his family, friends and puppies.

He is survived by his wife, Malinda; sons, Josh (Kate) and Jonathan; his parents, Greene and Marion Hawks; a brother, Andy (Mary) and nephew and niece, Jeremy and Whitney.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Memorial service will be held at 2 pm Monday, June 13, 2016 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Henry Roberts officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5401 Corporate Woods Dr. #100, Pensacola, FL 32504 or First United Methodist Church, 6 E. Wright St., Pensacola, FL 32501.
