IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Denice Ann
Hair
February 10, 1953 – October 28, 2025
Denice Ann Hair, 72, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She moved on from this life while holding the hand of her beloved husband, Eddie Belcher.
Born on February 10, 1953, in Grayson County, TX, Denice was the youngest child of Kenneth Hair, Sr. and "Clojean" Hair Matthies, and was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Hair, Jr. Denice grew up in Miami, FL and earned a bachelor's degree at Florida State University. She was a dedicated employee at the Social Security Administration from early adulthood, moving up the ranks to supervisory levels, and where she eventually met husband, Ed Belcher, who was married in 2010.
A resident of the Pensacola area since 1985, Denice was always engaged in a whirlwind of social and athletic activities. She could often be found planning parties, cycling, marching in and attending parades, sailing, traveling and taking cruises, and organizing meetups with friends at local events, especially if there was live music. Denice's love of festive celebration and adventure was only surpassed by her love for her extended family and friends; she took great joy in bringing people together for good times and laughter. When asked in her final weeks what advice she would give to the world, Denice simply said, "Be nice."
Denice is survived by her husband, Eddie Belcher; children, Lauren Marble-Makins and Marshall Chaney; sisters, Deborah "Kasey" Hair and Deitra Walton; former husband, the father of her children, David Chaney; as well as a host of beloved relatives and friends.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place in early 2026.
